Square Peg Tea & Coffee House

Launched in March 2015 – Square Peg has become a popular destination coffee shop for some great artisan coffee and local fresh food.

Developed from a group from Parklands Church – Square Peg very much is a unique expression of community and generosity on the high street.

In believing that small individual actions, taken by members of local communities, can have a huge impact on people whose lives are affected by poverty, Square Peg was designed as a business that customers can be confident that the small action of buying a cup of coffee is having a big impact on others who need support.

Structured as an independent social enterprise Square Peg uses it’s profits from the Coffee House to provide active support in three key ways:

– Providing comprehensive apprenticeships for NEETs (young adults not in education, employment or training) in the local area

– Providing unique Kick-Start work placements for NEETs and the long-term unemployed

– Donating directly to selected charitable works that help people to move from poverty to a life of purpose.

– Creating a space for the community to gather and find a place of belonging with our friendly staff.

Pop in, chat to the staff and find out more about how we work in the community.
