Students
From weekends away, to food, to equipping for leadership... Parklands seeks to provide
for the needs of students. Our aim is to provide a “homely/family environment,
to encourage spiritual growth and to equip for service.”
Student lunch is the most regular event, when families within the church provide
Sunday lunch for all the students. Then on occasions, students join the church for
a fellowship lunch.
Our annual student weekend away, in February, is a good chance for students to get
to know each other and build friendships whilst doing team-building activities,
preparing food and chilling together, along with meetings.
Student/youth cells (called
“Fusion” as we are linked with the national Fusion movement for youth and students)
are a great way to build relationships and study the Word together.
Other one-off events do happen from time-to-time, which you may see listed on the
events page. In all that we do, we seek to meet the needs
of students and provide for them in a way which moves them on. The work is in its
developmental stages but God is clearly leading the way so we look forward to welcoming
new students with the giftings and abilities that they bring with them. We have
many opportunities for students to be involved in Sketty Perk, youth work, kids
events, older people’s events, music, sound, teaching, etc etc.
