Sharing the practical love of Jesus
Our hospitality team works to share the practical love of Jesus with every person who engages with Parklands; and to ensure Parklands is a welcoming church that helps every person feel they belong.
Our welcoming team is here to greet you, keep you safe and offer a friendly welcome when you arrive for the 11 am service on a Sunday. Tasks include distributing flyers and information packs, directing people to seats, giving out the offering baskets and facilitating communion on the first Sunday of the month.
Our set-up team is vital in the life of the church, facilitating anything practical in order for the Sunday services to run smoothly. This includes setting up chairs and preparing communion for the first Sunday of every month.
‘Alpha’ is a course which allows people to explore the fundamental basics of the Christian faith. It is run 3-4 times per year, and each week involves a short video talk, a discussion and a meal. The Alpha meals team work together to prepare and serve the meal to all those who come along.
Fellowship lunch is provided by Parklands on the last Sunday of the month, following the 11am service. It’s a great opportunity for the Church to share food together and catch up with each other. The lunch team work together to prepare and serve the food.
