Sundays

Every Sunday The Whole church Gets together to worship

We believe that Church is 24/7… As part of that our Sunday gatherings give us the chance to worship God together and connect as a family.

Sunday mornings have two services which have different styles of worship but embrace the same heart – to love and live generously like Jesus.

9.15am Gathering

Every Sunday at Parklands Church, SA2 8HQ

The first service is our more reflective service that runs from 9.15 – 10.30. Expect acoustic worship music, open times of prayer and a 30 minute talk based on the Bible. Everyone is welcome to this service but we currently do not run Kids Church during this service

11.00Am Gathering

Every Sunday at Parklands Church, SA2 8HQ

This is our larger and livelier celebration service. Expect louder contemporary songs and music, and a 25/30 min talk based on the Bible.  Everyone is welcome and we run a lively Kid’s and Youth programme during this service. We always finish with a chance to get to know each other better and an opportunity make new friends over a cup of fab coffee or tea.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Come as you are but preferably come wearing some clothes to save our blushes!  There’s no dress-code, we want people to feel comfortable and most of us are in jeans or shorts in the summer, but if you want to dress up, we love that too!

Where should I park?

We have a car park alongside our Church building and we encourage everyone who comes along to try and use our car park, however, sometimes people may need to park in our surrounding neighbourhood. We just ask that you please respect our neighbours and avoid parking across drives and dropped kerbs.

How long is a Sunday service?

The 9.15am lasts for 1hr 15 mins and the 11am typically lasts 1hr 30mins. But please feel free to hang around after the service has finished to chat and meet new friends.

Do I have to pay anything?

No. During the service a bucket/basket will be passed along the rows in which people are able to make donations to the church, but this is not compulsory. If you do not wish to make a donation, please just pass the bucket to the person next to you.

Children/Youth

There is a Crèche (0-2’s) with a TV feed to the main meeting so you can watch the service, we ask parents/carers to stay with their children in our Crèche. Kids ages 2-11 should be checked in when they arrive at Church, they will be part of the main 11am service for about 20 mins then go out to their own Kids Church. Our Youth (11-14) programme will also run during the 11am and it will be announced from the front when it’s time for the Youth to go their group.

Do you have wheelchair Access?

The meeting room is laid out with wheelchair access in mind. The aisles are sufficiently wide to navigate a wheelchair through, and we keep a space clear at the front where wheelchair users can sit and see the screens easily. There is also a disabled accessible toilet in the main hallway.

Be Greeted

We know that for many visiting a church can be a leap into the unknown. If you would love to come but are not sure what to expect we would love to introduce you to a friendly face before the gathering. They will then sit with you throughout the service and answer any questions you may have.
