It will be a Christian event like no other. Along the line of the ‘do lectures’. It will be a time for us to eat a big meal, experience expressions of Art and listen to 3 great speakers in bite size chunks.

Please visit the Website for more information on speakers and artists: www.threeswansea.co.uk

This is a  Swansea Hope Event and it should be a good one.
Tickets are £12 (including your big meal) and will need to be purchased before Sunday night. If you need some get them through Dan or the Three website.

Holding on

We just wanted to share this little enouragement that happened yesterday to one of the fathers in our Church.

A father took his son to see the sunset over the Gower last night. It was an incredibly clear sky and they both could share the wonders of God’s creation together. However being winter when sunset comes the dark night sky fell upon them quickly. With the fading light the boy held onto his Dad’s hand harder and tighter so that he wouldn’t be left alone. The little boy didn’t want to be on his own and feared the unknown of the dark. With this he held on tighter as he knew that his Dad had it sorted and his Dad would get him home safe!

Sometimes we don’t know what’s around the corner or how we get out of the dark places, but we do know the promise of God is solid and will never fail! Sometimes we just have to trust like the child. Hold on to our father and trust Him to guide us!

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

Here are a couple of songs that will encourage us to hold onto God.

Bake Off

Grounded Bake-Off

Saturday 26th January 6:30pm

Grounded needs you!

We are on the hunt for an outstanding bakery product to feature in the Grounded Coffee House, and we need your help to find it!

If you have an ancient family muffin recipe, an interesting variation of a classic sponge or just happen to be the best cookie baker in town, why not enter the Bake-Off? Simply submit your recipe to grounded.swansea@gmail.com to have your sample batch taste tested at to our Bake-Off.

If you prefer to eat cake rather than to bake it, then we need you too!  We need plenty of people to sample our competition entries and vote for their favourites; for a mere £5 (£3 for children) you can sample as much cake as you can handle and have your say in the Bake-Off results. You will even have the opportunity to bid for your favourite item to be baked specially for you and delivered to your home!

The Bake-Off is in aid of Poverty to Purpose and 50% proceeds will be given to support Sian Wilkins in her Tearfund mission trip to Peru.

Tickets will be on sale in the new year. Email grounded.swansea@gmail.com for more information.
