Bible Characters!
Our ‘Bible Characters’ series will look at the lives of some of the more significant people in the Bible, revealing their stories, what God did in and through them, and where they fit in the bigger picture of the Bible narrative.
Sunday 14th September 2025 – Isaac
Rhian is leading Kids Church this week.
In this session, we will look at the life of Isaac and see how important our relationships and faith are. We will see from Isaac’s life that quiet people also have a part in God’s plan, and that gentleness avoids arguments.
Sunday 21st September 2025 – Caleb
Sarah is leading Kids Church this week.
This session aims to teach the children about Caleb – who he was and the role he played in working out God’s plan for His people. The session will also challenge the children to know and trust God like Caleb did; being willing to stand out from the crowd. We will think about what it means to be faithful.
Sunday 28th September 2025 – Deborah
Emily and Gareth are leading Kids Church this week.
The aim of this session is to help the children learn from the life of Deborah, who was a natural leader, judge and prophet and to demonstrate that God is a God of justice and fairness. It also looks at how our talents come from God and how we should give him credit for them.
Sunday 5th October 2025 – Gideon
Emily and Gareth are leading Kids Church this week.
This session will cover the story of Gideon as found in Judges 6 and 7. It will show how the victory that Gideon and his men enjoyed was down to the might of God and their trust in Him. It will teach the children that even if they feel small, God can do mighty things through them if they trust and obey Him.
Sunday 12th October 2025 – Esther
Sarah is leading Kids Church this week.
The aim of this session is to help the children see that their lives can make a difference. The session teaches the story of Esther – how she was brave enough to use her position to save God’s people (the Jews) from death. Our challenge today is to be courageous and serve God; by doing the things He wants us to in all situations.
Sunday 19th October 2025 – John the Baptist
Sarah is leading Kids Church this week.
This session explores how John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus and how we can get ready to follow King Jesus. During the session we will look at the events surrounding John’s birth and see that from the beginning he was called to bring people to know God.
Sunday 26th October 2025
Rhian is leading Kids Church this week.
This week is messy play week! Hooray! The aim of our messy play session is to help children explore and engage with Bible stories in a hands-on, creative way. Through sensory activities, children can express themselves, develop new skills, and connect with God’s love in a fun and welcoming environment.
Sunday 2nd November 2025 – Judas Iscariot
Sarah is leading Kids Church this week.
In this session we will look at the stories concerning Judas Iscariot and see that if there is something inside you that you value more than Jesus, it will pull you away from Him. We will also see how important it is to recognise Jesus for who He is and not. This session will help us to realise that we must not become complacent – we have to actively choose to follow God daily.
